The Story Behind Operation BOB
Operation BOB began after JAVC met Bob, an 85-year-old U.S. Navy veteran in declining health. Years of water leaks from a sink and bathtub had caused serious dry rot and unsafe flooring in his mobile home, especially in the kitchen.
With support from Home Depot and JAVC volunteers, the damaged flooring and subfloor were repaired and the kitchen was rebuilt, restoring safety and function to Bob's home.
Why Your Donation Matters
Most Operation BOB projects cost approximately $2,000–$4,000. Support from Lowe's and Home Depot can reduce material costs through donations or discounts, but many veterans still cannot afford the remaining repair expense. Community donations help close that gap.
